Reporting an incident or complaint

The Yashchenko Foundation is committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity, accountability, and professionalism across all areas of its work. We take all concerns related to misconduct, inappropriate behavior, or policy violations seriously.

If you witness, experience, or suspect any form of wrongdoing or inappropriate action, please report the details using the form below. Reports may be submitted anonymously if preferred, and all information provided will be treated with confidentiality and handled in accordance with our policies and procedures.

1. Conflict of Interest

Definition:
When someone’s personal interests, such as family, friends, or money, could affect, or appear to affect, the way they do their job or make decisions for the organization.

Examples:
– A staff member gives a contract to a relative’s business.
– Accepting gifts or favors from a supplier who wants to win a tender.
– Recommending a friend for a job without saying they are a friend.

2. Fraud

Definition:
When someone lies, cheats, or hides the truth to gain money, property, or another benefit they should not have.

Examples:
– Making fake receipts or invoices to claim extra money.
– Changing or hiding financial records to cover up missing funds.

3. Safeguarding

Definition:
Protecting people, especially women, children, and vulnerable adults, from sexual abuse, exploitation, harassment, or any other harm caused by staff, volunteers, or partners.

Examples:
– Asking for sexual favors in exchange for aid or services.
– Neglecting or abusing a child or vulnerable person.

4. Whistleblowing

Definition:
Reporting serious wrongdoing, such as fraud, abuse, or rule-breaking, that harms people or the organization, even if the person reporting is not directly involved.

Examples:
– Reporting that a manager is stealing or misusing funds.
– Raising concerns that rules or ethical standards are being ignored.

5. Other

Definition:
Any other concern, complaint, or feedback that does not fit into the above categories but still needs to be reported.

Examples:
– Reporting unsafe or unhealthy working conditions.
– Complaints about poor quality or unfair distribution of aid.
